|About the Book|
Cops Jablonski and Ryan know that Harry Derby killed the old woman. But they watch in dismay as he destroys a crucial bit of evidence, even admitting as he does so that hes guilty. So what could it hurt if they leave another bit of evidence on his jacket? Maybe its framing him, but hes guilty! As Derby is convicted, though, Ryan begins to wonder if he is guilty after all--and proves he isnt. Someone else is the killer, but Derby is going to die in the electric chair unless rookie cop Ryan can stand up against the whole police force, a dangerously knowledgeable reporter, and the city of New York to find the real murderer.
